Chris Ferguson has always been destined to become a great poker player and he learned the game when he was a very young boy. Chris was born in Los Angeles in 1963 and started playing poker when he was only in the fourth grade of school. He continued playing poker throughout his school years and in highschool he noticed he could make money by playing this game.
Ferguson graduated with a Doctors pf Philosophy in Computer Science and has a great mind when it comes to the computer as well as poker. When he was attending college he would take trips to Las Vegas every weekend so that he could make some money to support himself. When he graduated from college he had a sizeable bankroll that he used to try poker professionally and he hasn’t looked back since.
Chris has won many tournaments on the WSOP circuit since becoming a pro poker player and he also is an avid online poker player and played a major role in the creation of Full Tilt Poker. He is a part of the pro team at Full Tilt, but he also helped develop the software used on the poker room. Over the course of Chris’s career so far he has made 25 final table appearances and finished in the money 42 times. This makes him one of the most successful tournament players ever to grace the poker world. He has made over $4 million in WSOP winnings alone which isn’t counting his online winnings or cash game winnings.
The nickname “Jesus” is what Chris has been known as for years now and he got the nickname from looking like Jesus. Chris has long hair and a beard just like Jesus and looks very similar in appearance. He is one of the most feared poker players and many of the poker pros note that Ferguson is one of the hardest players to get a read off of. When Chris isn’t playing poker you might find him throwing cards around the room splitting anything in sight. He’s been seen on television in the past splitting vegetables with playing cards and has a wicked toss.
I expect that Chris will remain in the full tilt poker world for many years to come, he has a great mind and can calculate just about anything in his head. With such skills it’s no wonder that he has made a career in poker and it shows you what it takes to become a poker pro. Chris happens to be one of the best role models for young poker players as he has his education and is one of the most polite poker players in the industry.
